ArtWorks! Summer Workshops for Kids: July 23-27
ArtWorks! will initiate an exciting program of arts enrichment workshops for children this summer. These workshops will begin on Monday, July 23rd and will run for approximately one and one half hours every day from Monday through Friday. Four workshops are planned. Their content is varied and there will be something for kids of every age. The Workshop Committee is looking for volunteers for the Artsmart workshop. A volunteer's child would be able to attend a workshop for free. Contact Pat Smart at smart.art@comcast.net if you would like to help.

Registration must be paid in full at least one week prior to the workshop start date of July 23rd.

ACTING AND IMPROVISATION, Ages 12-18
Monday-Friday, 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Tuition: $60.00
Location: SLCA Fuess Performance Space
Instructors: Nan Mullenneaux

This week long workshop, led by Nan Mullenneaux, will teach both basic acting and improvisation skills to middle and high-school aged students, exploring professional techniques in character development, comedy versus drama, memorization tricks, and finding emotional truth onstage. We will then take these skills and use them in scenes from Broadway plays and movie scripts. Our final class will be an open rehearsal for family and friends. The emphasis will be on fun, trust, and teamwork. There are no stars, says Nan, just great actors!

Nan Mulleneaux has acted in regional, off-Broadway, dinner and summer stock theaters as well as film, television, and radio. Over the past twenty years Nan has developed highly successful acting classes for colleges, after-school programs, theater companies, and arts centers.
