| George Wilson & Bill Spence will again bring their array of instruments from fiddle and hammered dulcimer to guitar and banjo, and this year they’ll be joined by John Roberts, an English folksinger frequently accompanied by both Anglo and English concertina. In addition to some fun sing-along songs, George, Bill, and John will present The Irish Soldier in the Civil War, a preview of Four Seasons, Four Years - The Civil War: A Musical Journey which they will perform in its entirety on April 20 as part of the Squire Jacob Concert Series. That night they’ll be joined by eight other extraordinary musicians, including Greg Artzner, Dan Berggren, Betsy Fry, Steve Fry, Reggie Harris, Terry Leonino, Toby Stover, and Susan Trump, several of whom have performed as soloists at Squire Jacob. This presentation was produced, compiled, and directed by Old Songs, Inc. executive director, Andy Spence in collaboration with the musicians. Previous performances have been immensely successful and we’re honored to bring this outstanding production to SLCA and the Squire Jacob stage.
We thank George and Bill for the several years they’ve donated their time and talent which top off the best corned beef with all the fixin’s you’ll find anywhere. The homemade brownies are a big hit, too!
