THE DAN SEKELLICK VISUAL ARTS GALLERY
Throughout March, the Gallery will be presenting the paintings of Noah Bonesteel in an exhibit called Altered Dynamics, Exploring Beauty and Resiliency in a Changing Landscape.
Noah Bonesteel is a painter and printmaker from Averill Park and a recent BFA painting and drawing recipient from Plattsburgh State. He is known for his abstract and layered approach to landscape compositions using vibrant color, expressive mark making, and superimposed plant and animal forms. His practice is fueled by his love of the woods and his fascination with natural history and ecology. Bonesteel is very concerned about the intensifying climate and biodiversity crises, and his work explores the complex relationship humans have with the planet. Bonesteel’s work has been included in exhibitions across the Adirondack and Capital Regions of New York and has received various awards.
A reception with the artist and light refreshments will be held on March 7 at 1 p.m.
This exhibition was made possible by the Arts Thrive and Grow grant program through the Arts Center of the Capital Region.

Gallery hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you see our “OPEN” flag outside the building during other hours, please come on in. We are closed Mondays.

April 2026: Annual Fundraiser Gallery Show
Calling all artists! It’s time to take flight with the SLCA Annual Fundraiser Gallery Show. This year’s theme is our feathered friends: the birds!
If you’re interested in participating, please contact gallery@slca-ctp.org before March 20. Use your own wild imagination as a starting point! Let us know what you will create or have created and your media/dimension details so we can save you a spot in the show.
The fundraiser is a silent auction of your donated art pieces that will be in the SLCA gallery throughout the month of April.
A reception will be held April 26 from 2 to 4 p.m., after which bidding will close.

Submissions
The gallery accepts proposals for art shows throughout the year. Submit your work.
We are also accepting submission forms for A Still Small Voice 4U’s Juried Art Show.
This year’s theme is “Democracy is the people’s voice.” Submit your work through this form by June 12.
Juror selection will take place July 3.
Artists will be notified July 17.
Installation, reception and juror selection prizes will take place Aug. 1.
