Part three of Neil Simon’s acclaimed autobiographical trilogy that finds Eugene and his older brother Stanley trying to break into the world of show business as professional comedy writers while coping with their parents’ breakup and eventual divorce. When their material is broadcast on the radio for the first time, the family is upset to hear a thinly veiled portrait of themselves played for laughs.

This year’s Whispering Bones presents a very special weaving of witchy tales: stories of the witches that haunt our nightmares, the witches that live in our suspicions, the witches that make us laugh, and the witches who scar our souls—or heal them.

Dr. Betterov-Underhill will be on hand to promote his line of Dead People products, including his “Don’t Go Thither” Zither, acclaimed in the lower world and banned on many of the outer planets. And Shannah (Katherine Danforth-Hayes) will return with another episode of “Shannah’s Spell Closet!”

• The Sea’s Dead by Katharine Tynan, performed by Katherine Danforth-Hayes. A strange girl comes to live in Achill Island off the coast of Ireland.

• The Shift Witch, a comic piece performed by Jenny Wright. A date in a space station food court with a guy with unexpected talents. 

• The Room in the Tower by E.F. Benson, performed by Kelvin Keraga. An invitation to a room full of nightmares.

• The Tin Box, a dark piece performed by Jewel Winant. What is in the box that Irene left for her grand-niece?

• Ere the Fire/After the Fire by Shawn Paper, performed by Shawn Paper and Isabel Covielllo. The story of King James of Scotland and Anges Sampson and a search for a witch.

• The Charming Shoes, written and performed by Kelvin Keraga. Witches come in many forms…

Suitable for ages 12 and above. Spooky and sometimes disturbing descriptions but no gore.
